Intro to Dance (Ballet, Tap & Jazz)

Sydney Billings has been dancing for over 23 years, starting at the age of 1. Growing up at her family owned dance studio started by her grandmother and now her mother, going on their 66th Season! Sydney continued her dance education in college at Central Connecticut State University, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Dance. After graduating, Sydney continued her dancing career performing around CT with many local dance companies. Which led to her teaching career at her family studio in Wallingford. Leading her to get her certification in Group Fitness, you can find her as a coach at Orangetheory Fitness in Manchester. You can also find Miss Sydney teaching Mommy & Me and a Preschool (Spin & Sparkle) class at the Madison Rec Department on Tuesday mornings. Sydney's favorite style of dance is ballet and tap. She is very excited to get to know your little ones and share her love of dance and movement with them!

Ninja Class - 2&3- Wednedays

Taught by a certified personal trainer, these ninja classes are traditionally offered at the ninja gym at Peak Physical Therapy in Madison (www.peakptw.com), and now they are being offered at Jeffrey! Science shows that one of the best ways to help our kids to focus during school is by getting their energy out before and after school. Science also shows that we need to get kids off their devices and onto their feet. Ninja classes incorporate teamwork, and promote healthy movement. We call it "physical literacy." Sometimes, it's an obstacle course, other times, it's a relay race, but all the times, the focus is on good, clean and SAFE fun! This class was created by a Physical Therapist who wants children to be more active and engaging in challenging activity. Kids will practice and apply various skills like: crawling, rolling, jumping, landing and balance training.
